We are pleased to announce the “Workshop on data analysis using NONMEM” organized by Population Approach Group of India (PAGIN). PAGIN is a non-profit group in India, devoted to sharing and furthering knowledge and skills in Population based data analysis. PAGIN conducts annual workshops, and has held seven workshops so far. These were received well and appreciated by the NONMEM learning community in India.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The workshop will start with a discussion of the different perspectives on opportunities to revolutionize drug development in India.

The Pharmacometrics training is designed for academic, company and government scientists interested in influencing key decisions using Pharmacometrics or quantitative clinical pharmacology. The attendees will gain basic understanding of pharmacometrics and its applications. Upon completion of this session, attendees should be able to: • Understand basic PKPD theory

PAGIN is hosting its sixth training course, “Workshop on data analysis using NONMEM” from 1st – 3rd August 2013 and registration is now open.

Highlights of PAGIN 2012

The Population Approach Group of India (PAGIN) held its fifth annual workshop between July 23rd and 25th this year. Martin Johnson and Coen Van Hasselt were the external resource persons this year, and Surulivel Rajan joined them as a local faculty. There were 32 participants from across the country, and one participant from US. Eight participants were from industry, while the other participants were students and academics. The local organizer, Dr. Ramalingam and his office, shouldered the responsibility of the overall organization and logistics.

PAGIN poster presentations

For the upcoming PAGIN meeting we would like to encourage you to submit a scientific abstract of a project you are working on to be presented using a poster presentation. The project should be related to the focus of PAGIN, i.e. modelling & simulation, pharmacometrics, pharmacokinetics and/or (clinical) pharmacology. Please note that presented projects do necessarily not need to be finished. It is perfectly fine to discuss for instance a plan of your anticipated analysis, or intermediary results. PAGIN 2012: 5th Workshop on Population Pharmacokinetics using NONMEM

The Population Approach Group of India is pleased to announce the 5th “Introductory workshop on data analysis using NONMEM”. This three-day course will be held from July 23 to July 25 at the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore, India.

Workshop
The hands-on workshop provides an introduction to pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data analysis using NONMEM, and comprises both lectures and computer sessions. Additionally, participants will have the possibility to present and discuss their work during a poster session.
